Coming from Mt. Sinai, this was going from a Local IT support staff to managing Infrastructure on a global scale. I was able to take my expertise in VMware and utilize it across datacenters in multiple locations across the US and Europe.
Prior to completing the hiring process, I was already working and integrating with my team that included members that have been since the beginning of this multi-billion dollar organization. We were tasked with maintaining existing test, pre-prod, and production environments, along with designing and implementing new datacenters.
Along with maintaining existing systems, The team was tasked with various projects including scripting and automation, creating a Virtual Desktop Environment, collaboration with developers for new systems, new security standards and systems. This is also where we implemented the first generation of vSan on servers that cost more than 3x my annual salary. Good Times.
